March 2021 Month End Report

Summary

March 2021 was a busy month with 190 clients accessing the service.  Of this 190, 26 were new clients to Saoirse and accessed the service through the screening process. 1 client was a family member. 164 clients were linked with Saoirse from the previous month.

 

Client Overview

Gender/Age of new clients to Saoirse

Of the 26 clients that presented in the month to Saoirse through the screening process – 14 were male and 12 were female. 4 of the 26 new clients that presented were between 18 and 25 years of age, 9 between 26 and 35 years of age, 12 between 36 and 50 years of age and 1 between and 51 and 80.

 

Drug of Choice

In the month, the clients presenting were predominately Alcohol dependant. Of the drugs of choice 10 presented with alcohol, 9 with Cocaine, 3 with Cannabis and 1 each with Benzodiazepine, Gamma Hydroxybutyrate (GHB) and Heroin.

Of those that presented new to Saoirse 17 of them used other substances, the most common being Alcohol (8).

Programmes operating in March 2021  in Saoirse

In response to the COVID-19 restrictions all group meetings have been cancelled in Saoirse and we are supporting  clients at this time, through 1 to1 telephone counselling. As stated above 190 clients availed of this service in March 2021.
