Saoirse Treatment Center – December 2021 Month End Report

Summary

December 2021 was a busy month with 195 clients accessing the service.  Of this 195, 20 were new clients to Saoirse and accessed the service through the screening process. 1 was a  family member.  175 clients were linked in from the previous month.

Gender/Age of new clients to Saoirse

Of the 20 clients that presented in the month to Saoirse through the screening process  10 were male and 10 were female  2 of the 20 new clients that presented were between 18 and 25 years of age, 2 between 26 and 35 years of age, 14 between 36 and 50 years of age and  2 between and 51 and 80.

 

Drug of Choice

In the month, the clients presenting were predominately Alcohol dependant. Of the drugs of choice 15 presented with alcohol, 2 with Cannabis and   1 each with Benzodiazepine and Cocaine . Of those that presented new to Saoirse 7 of them used other substances, the most common being Cocaine (3).

Programmes operating in December 2021  in Saoirse

In response to the COVID-19 restrictions all group meetings have been cancelled in Saoirse and we are supporting  clients at this time, through 1 to1 telephone counselling. As stated above 195 clients availed of this service in December 2021.
