March 2024 was a busy month with 150 clients accessing the service. Of this 150, 27 were new clients to Saoirse and accessed the service through the screening process. 4 clients were family members, 3 clients were gamblers, 123 clients were linked in from the previous month.

Of the 27 clients that presented in the month to Saoirse through the screening process – 14 were male and 13 were female., 5 of the 27 clients were aged between 18 and 25 years of age, 7 between 26 and 35 years of age, 9 between 36 and 50 years of age and 6 between and 51 and 80.
Drug of Choice
In the month, the clients presenting were predominately Alcohol dependant. Of the drugs of choice 12 presented with alcohol, 3 with Cannabis, 3 with Cocaine 1 each with Benzodiazepine and Heroin. Of those that presented new to Saoirse 13 of them used other substances, the most common being Alcohol (4) and Cannabis (4).
